E-invoicing: what an independent convoying operator must do, and when

Since 1 September 2026, every VAT-registered business in France must be able to receive electronic invoices. For independent convoying operators, it's a good moment to look at how you currently invoice.

What actually changes

• Reception: mandatory for everyone since 1 September 2026.
• Issuance: mandatory since 1 September 2026 for large companies and ETIs, and from 1 September 2027 for small/medium businesses and micro-enterprises.
• In other words: even if you're a micro-entrepreneur with until 2027 to issue e-invoices, you must already be able to receive them.

The spreadsheet and manual-invoice problem

Many independent operators still invoice at month-end, piecing missions back together from notes, texts, or a shared spreadsheet. That approach gets risky under the new rules: data entry errors, forgotten missions, late payments.

What Izorga changes
